Happy Birthday to both, and many more!

OFFICERS' BIRTHDAYS

As already noted, there are no officers with birthdays in January.

In February,  former commander of The Regiment - Peter L. Ford - will celebrate his 59th on the 23rd.  Happy Birthday, Peter, and many more !

DUES

Regimental and NWD, BAR dues are due.

Regimental dues are $22 for 2006. (I know I said $20 before, but, it was my error.  So, don't worry, I will catch up with you on the other $2.  It was my error, no one else's, right!)

BAR dues are $25 (plus $5 for each additional household member) for 2006.

     I have received dues from:

Boyer, Croft, Hively, Lucas, Maass, & Pieper

For those who have not sent their dues, please send them now !

CALENDAR 2006

Please refer to your January 2 newsletter for the list of known events for 2006. There is one change to that list: May 27-28 NWD Military Timeline, Mercer, PA - CANCELLED.

(So, if you want to "soldier" on memorial day weekend, you can come to Fort Laurens)

Company Schedule:  In the past, The Company has determined, in advance, what events it will support.  This is then the Company Events (Regimental Events - Guilford and Yorktown in 2006 - are automatically part of this).  In the past, we have usually chosen to support The NWD, BAR events plus any other events that might be suggested as Company Events.

I propose that we support, again, the NWD, BAR schedule plus, of course, Guilford and Yorktown.  Are there any other events that you would like to see Grove's Company support in 2006?

NEW RECRUITS

New Recruits Jeff Croft and Ryan Winkler are "in the process of getting ready".

Jeff and Ryan - if there is anything you need help with, please contact me (Tom) or Corporal Lucas.

GUILFORD COURT HOUSE

Five reasons why you should attend Guilford Court House:

1. Have fun at a large-scale event

2. Support your regiment - The 23rd Regiment

3. Celebrate a 225th event

4. Enjoy camaraderie with other men in The 23rd

5. Re-enact a battle that The 23rd fought in

To those ends, I hope that each of you will be planning on attending Guilford Court House on March 18-19.

We will need to make plans for traveling from Ohio to Greensboro, NC.

I have reserved two rooms - one for me and ? and one for whoever wants it - at The Holiday Inn at Triad Airport - close to the event site and it is the location of The Saint David's Day Dinner.

PLEASE GET IN TOUCH WITH ME SO PLANS CAN BE MADE !

Let's see if we can get 6 or 7 of us there !
